Hi ann, i am so sorry you feel like this. Im new to this sight and my first post was tiltled fed up! I to am awaiting those repairs plus my perineum needs reapiring and tvt (i think its called).

Mine is a long story and all i can say i sympathise with everything you have said, it really is horrible abd the waiting is the worst bit.

When i finally get my op date i shall shout it from the rooftops! I have been waiting since march so far....

Anyway this site is fab and all the ladies on here are a goldmine of information and support.

Just knowing that i wasnt alone somehow made me feel better and being able to vent on here is even better.

Hope this makes you feel slightly better like my forst reply did me.

That's terrible that you have to wait so long and you are nurse. I'm sure on your feet a lot. Can you get a pessiary? Not the greatest thing..... I was getting bladder infection at first when my bladder dropped along with other parts.

I only had to wait 3 months, by the time I finished with the testing that was required.

I started doing some natural things to keep from getting a bladder infection. ( my bladder wasn't empting and with the prolapsed seemed like it was slightly leaking and discharges that didn't have before..... I took probiotic for bladder and vagina. )

Would be nice if they let you put your feet up some, Gravity is such a bad thing right now.🌞

Hope you can get your appointment moved up. Being in limbo is so hard. Physically and mentally.

    Take Care,

    Grace

    Hi Ann

So sorry to hear you are struggling. Are you UK based? Could you ask your GP about being referred to another hospital? Some will have shorter lists. Also ask GP about how your practice works in terms of its purse holder role. In my area my GP was able to offer me an online booking system which included a local private hospital. I had a choice of 4 weeks for initial appt or 18!

I selected the private hospital. Had my initial consultation late June tests over the summer and my op on 1st October. I chose the dates to fit me. Worth seeing if you are in an area that does this. Maybe I was just incredibly lucky that my GP was prepared to refer me but do ask.

In the meantime if you have to wait see if they can refer you to specialist women physio. Maybe this might help take the edge off that awful dragging feeling

Good luck and hope you get something quicker xx

Hi Ann. Sorry to hear this. Are you in the UK? I'm waiting too but I though it was because I asked them not use polyester tape/mesh as I'm allergic to synthetic fabrics! There are long waiting lists for these op's I think. If you work in the NHS maybe you could enquire about this in your area.
