I was wondering if anyone had hypothyroidism. Was wondering if maybe someone could tell me about the symptoms and such. I think this maybe what I have but go Thursday for blood work. Thank you

My symptoms were fatigue, brittle hair, dry skin, rapid heart beat, feeling of falling when dozing off, depression, weight gain, difficulty losing weight, teeth grinding. So many symptoms probably forgot some. I finally went to dr. because the fatigue wouldn't go away no matter how much rest I got. I didn't realize the other symptoms were related until I started reseaching. Google is a great resource to find out info on any topic and its "user friendly." May God be with you Amy.

The symptoms are different for everyone. I had weight gain that I couldn't shed. I eat well, small portions and keep active and yet, I couldn't lose a pound. There is hair loss also, I haven't experienced that. I was also only having one bowel movement a day and now I am regular.

Hi. I started with mine after my second child. I put the fatigue down to having a baby. I went to the doctors because I kept feeling like I was going to faint which was apparently anxiety due to my thyroid. I didn't notice any other symptoms because of being pregnant and being a new mum. Mine is supposed to be steady now but I still get incredibly fatigued and I can't seem to lose weight. My skin has always been dry and I've never noticed a difference with my hair and nails. Hope you get sorted

i go thru bouts of anxiety and depression too.
I believe it has something to do with the hormones but also being tired all the time might be depressing too

I am on 100mg of synthriod for 3 1/2 years now. Before they found the problem I was so tired, which was turning into depression. I gained weight, which I've since lost.
My regular dr missed any thyroid problem, I found out when I went to a specialist, addiction dr because I was drinking and taking different meds to try and help me function just to get up in the morning. I feel much better after being on synthoid this long. Also my aun Has a thyroid problem so if someone in your family has it, you're more likely to get it.

Tiredness is the big one, but Google it and you'll find all kinds of useful info. The blood work should clarify. Good luck!
