Big toe fusion

Hi I had my big toe fused on the 18-10-16, so just 2 weeks post op. Surgeon had to take bone graft from heal to fuse. Pain was bare able up to about 3 day ago now the dry blood on bandages rubbing my toes and ankle and have trobbing pain in my foot up into my ankle. Not due back to surgeon until next Tuesday, was wondering is this the norm or should I contact surgeon any advice welcome 🙂

Hi Irene
Never let any pain go that your concerned about without speaking to surgeon.
Although I went privately and each time I have an issue he says come see me ... that's another £250 !
But pain after an op I would double check with him anyway maybe over phone .
We have to all remember that our feet take ALL our weight so altho we should be mobile soon as possible it's best to rest and elevate ( I guess ??? )
Wish you well

Thanks Michele
Same as you going private, That's why I thought I'd check out on this site to see if what I'm experiencing is the norm before going back to hospital. Thank you for your advice.
Hope all is going well for you.
Regards
Irene

I've had nothing but trouble to be honest. I went private too and maybe need another joint fused.
