Hi...i have to have a hysteroscopy and a biopsy done...im so scared as i dont know what the outcome is going to be. Ive been bleeding continuously for 5 months and after having a scan they have found the lining of my womb is thickened and they need to find out why! I cant help thinking the worst. Can anyone give me some advice on this who has been through the same thing? Im only 36 and never thought ud have these problems at this age....so nervous 😢

Hi...not sure how thick it is. I never asked! My heads all over the place. Never had a general anaesthetic before and its scaring me. When do you go for your op?

I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry about the results, it is par for the course that you need to have a surgery of some sort to check it out - there isn't any other way of finding out - so I wouldn't let that make you fear the worst. Your consultant will explain to you exactly what is going on and the treatments available (even without a decent bedside manner as I found out!) but if you can try to get one that is a specialist in the field - there is a website you can check it out on, you are aiming for the ones that all the other doctors stand up for when they enter the room!! - then that would be good - mine was great. Good luck x
