Have any of you passed a 5mm stone without stents,  or lithrotripsy?

    Yes, I passed about a 6 mm stone without any stents or lithotripsy when I was pregnant. It took me a bit to finally come out and even stayed stuck in my urethra for a few days, but it did pass. My doctor would not do anything because I was pregnant besides prescribing Flomax. It helps your ureters dilate and pass large stones a little easier.

    Yes, 5mm is not too big. Depending on your urologist, you might get medication to dialate your ureter so that is pases quick. Are you in pain now? If so, drink water, walk walk, (i know is a little difficult) and rub and shake with your hand the side of the pain. I shake my side, usually right side, with my hand feeling the shaking or hitting, i guess, deep in my kidney. I pass stones within hours usually by doing this. Non stop water, up and down the stairs, and hitting my back to make the stone move quicker. Is a pain that is worse than being in labor!!! But laying down wont help. Trust me...

    If they line up right you'll feel it in you bladder going around, like you have to go all the time
