JUST WHAT EXACTLY IS OVERWHELMING MY EYES?

Posted , 2 users are following.

I HAVE SJOGREN"S AND SARCOIDOSIS>  I'm really not sure if the sjogren's or the sarcoid is the problem  We've moved closer to our kids recently and I haven't found my doctors here as of  today.

I'm having all kinds of discharge from somewhere in my eyes.  Times it feels like thin pins with a ball on top other times it's; very fine wirelike feeling then fuzzy ballike items and if I try to remove those, they break open and these rings come out.  Most times I get all of them but if I miss some, it attaches to my eyeball like a rubber finger would aaround your finger. It also feels tight around my eyeball so I find the band of this ring andpull it off.  I know this isn't right but I'm at a loss as to what i can do about it.   I have other symptoms but cannot think right now.

I've mentioned to my doctor about a possibility of me having some kind of parasite and she just looks lightly and says, nope, you're fine.  Yet at times I can pull out what feels like worms.  I've researched this and since parasites are the longest living creature they have had time to conform and make themselves invisible.  I have to agree with that because I pulled this wormlike thing out from under my eyelid and put it in a jar of very fine, chalk like chocolate...nutsy-coo-coo lol but, it did work.  I could not see the worm on my finger but felt it and I flicked it in this jar and shook the jar and low and behold the chocolate aattached to the wormlike thingy.  ickkkk.  This worm was slithering up the side of the jar but then, I believe, it was overcome from the chalk-like chocolate.  None-the-less, it's still in the jar but now I'm afraid toshow the doctor because she may  think I'm nutsy.  Anyone, please help me wiith this.  My husband is shut out of this topic because we've been living with this for over 10 years,,, he's reached his breaking point.

I'm so lost about this right now and I haven't read on this site or any site that talks about this topic.  Please, please if you do have these symptoms or close to them, talk to me.

Much appreciated,

Frustrated

Take the closed jar to your physician so she can see exactly what you have been talking about

      Hi ihavenonickname

I know that's the rational way to do this, take it to my doctor.  This has been going on for so long and over the years, because they couldn't see it, they thought I was coo-coo.  But, I will do that...if they lock me up for being a bit coo-coo so be it!  I do have the proof and that should stand alone.

      Thank you for your input!

Why don't you go straight to eye casualty amd have your eyes reviewed there.

      Hi Margaret ~

I'm not sure what "eye casualty" is.  I'm in the US.  I would love to go to somewhere that they could test this.  Perhaps, I should go to infectious disease?

Thanks for your response.  It did open up another avenue for me to go to.

Not sure you should be messing with your eyes. Go to an eye hospital clinic. Check out blepharitis and conjunctivitis. Both very common with SS.

      Hi Estelle ~

I agree, I don't like messing around with my eyes but if I don't, as in the past, my corneas would be scratched...my corneas are in pretty bad shape because of this.  I cannot get into the Kelloggs Eye Care at U of M hospital until Jan 4.  However, the receptionist said to call daily to get a spot from a cancelation...I'm doing that.

Thank you for your input, I appreciate it!

I don't have either symptom so I'm thinking I  have a few different parasites that took over bc my immune system is shot.  Thank you for this,it helps me look for those symptoms.

I really hope you are sorted sooner rather than later. In the meantime, bathe with clean warm water, massage along the lid area to get the glands to function and also loosen the crustiness.all the best

      Hi Estelle ~

Thank you for responding again!  I use a lid wash everyday and it takes excess oil off also cleans the hairline of the lashes...I do use warm water but, it's from a community well...a perfect place for parasites to roam...and, we have raccons, fox, deer, sandhill cranes and all the wild animals that do spread, ticks, round worm,etc...I had an appt to see the specialist Jan4 but they called yesterday and said they didn't realize the dr will be out of town on the 4th then they moved it to Jan 18...I'm stll on steroid drops and will be until I see the doctor.  That did upset me bc it's  something I use every day and each day that goes by is one more that could end any  sight I have right now.  Nothing I can do either,  The Kellogg's Eye Care at U of M. is one of four in the US.

Thank you for listening to me.

      I appreciate your input.
