No period for 2 months then started and been on for 4 weeks

I didnt have a period for the months of September and October in November i started and been on it for almost 4 weeks now. What do you think the cause of this is? I went to the dr right before i started but they didnt really do anything

    I recently just had my first period after a year of absence. It lasted 24 days. My doctor said it could be due to stopping birth control (though I had six normal periods after that before they stopped) or it could be something like pcos. We are still trying to figure it out. She sent me for blood work to check my thyroid too.

    Nope. Wait. I've got my timeliness a little mixed up. I quit BC bled six times started BC again then quit in a year and only had one period then nothing for one year. Forgive me, it's 4:30 am right now. Looks like I need some real sleep haha!
