extreme pain in ear/neck/head

I'm 99% positive I have Otitis Media or something simlilar. I pass the hearing test because i'm honest and say when i BARELY hear a sound in my left ear compared to my right ear. They mark me off as "ok". I hit all of the symptoms Otitis Media states and yet i keep getting from the ENT(due to the head pain) go see a neurologist. I know a neurologist cannot help with an ear issue and keep getting put off by ENT's saying I just have headaches. I explain then why do I have ear/neck pain? They shake there head and say see a neurologist. This has happened twice reading online this is 100% an ENT issue. What do I do?

Oh to add more the cost to see a neurologist is extremely high and months away for an appointment. I cannot wait months the pain is to intense. Unable to even get a job due to this issue.

Did the audiologist do a tympanogram on each of your ears? It tells you what is happening in your middle ear system. If you recieved Type A tympanograms with no negative pressure, then it is not otitis media. TMJ is a common cause of ear pain (Google this), but I would have thought your ENT would assess this. Look for a TMJ specialist near you. Not sure that it will be any cheaper than a neurologist, but both are worth checking. Good luck!!

go see a neurologist because the difficulty is with the nerves in your head, not with your ears.

I have had otitis media..it is exyremely painful, your ear turns red, your ear gets hot, and you can't pop your ear.

What have you got to lose if you see the neurologist?
