DIfferent sized pupils

Hello

Ive noticed I have slightly different sized pupils.

I also have had a sinus (I think) headache and eyeball ache for 3 weeks.  It does come and go.  I had a blood test at the doctors today to see if it needs antibiotics.

Ive been to the eye clinic today and had dilating drops, an eye exam and photos of the back of my eyes and a field test.

The chap said my eyes are fine, the pupils are dialting and retracting as they should.

So why would I have a size difference in my pupil?  I am very short sighted too - about a -8.50.

Thank you

This is called Anisocoria and is more common than you might think. If the condition doesnt get worse and you dont have any other symptoms, you may have had it from birth.     The sinus headache and eyeball ache are most probably connected.

You don't happen to be home on Celexa by chance? Or BuSpar? I've just noticed my pupils are two separate sizes for the past two days and I've done some research and it says those medicines could cause this Also I saw my eye dr in march and he said everything was fine, I think I'm going to see a dr again just be safe

Well my dr has sent me to an eye specialist, they will know more whether it's an eye problem or something more sinister(gave me the chills typing that) she also took me off my SSRI so I have to withdrawal off that because this is a symptom of the medicine also so hopefully that's all it is, I'll let you know more when I hear from them tmw

Just wanted to let you know that I've seen an eye specialist today and he checked my eyes out and things and said it's not totally abnormal for your eyes to be different sizes and he said my eyes look good with no real reason to see a neurologist at this time unless the size is gets much different, as long as they are reacting to light and remain different size when doing so that rules a lot out so if maybe see a eye sepecialist just to be sure, he also said if you have shoulder pain with unequal pupils that could be an indicator or something worse or if your spitting up blood in way that's an indicator as well

Actually he did a little bit, he said any ssri can cause problems with the eyes, not so much different sizes pupils but blurry vision and just issues with eyes in general, thank you
