Today around 11:00am I went see my foot specialist he injected my PF but didn't say how long to rest my foot and stay off of it I work 8 hours and the only time I get off my feet are for about 30 mins. I have to work tomorrow but I want to make sure before I go in.

Hi Megan!
When I had mine done they advised me not to drive for 12 hours but didn't say I needed a certain amount of time off as such. I took off the day I had it and also the next day just in case but it depends on the reaction. I have found that the longer I rested it the less pain or swelling there is but it seems to be different for everyone every time so you may just need to play it by ear and judge it on how you feel. When I have them in my Knee they say take it easy for a couple of day's and it is then most effective so I just potter round the house and the wife takes the dog out.
I have now had three injections and each appears to be lasting longer the bfirst was 2 months the secound 4 months and the last one was about 6 months ago and the pain is starting to come back now but I will wait untill after Xmas toi have another so it lasts while I go Skiing in March.
I still wear gel heel pads for the pf and do stretching exercises and that appears to be keeping the pf at bay. I have pf insoles in my ski boots which give support under the arch to spread the load across the sole of the foot as when you are skiing you press hard on the ski to turn which tends to hurt.
