Depression will eventually right itself, it is a self limiting affliction, so even if you spent a year in bed or got on with life you will still recover either way.   Deep seated anxiety is difficult to deal with,  Have a complete health check and if nothing is wrong, when you wake up every morning say to yourself - I am a very healthy woman, over and over again,   you will then convince your brain not to worry.  Try and get lost in something that engages all your attention, even crosswords or read, especially other peoples biogs.  Try Ruby Wax, Sane New World.  Lastly you are not alone, many of us have this.  But positive thinking does work x

Yes you can recover if you get treatment.  Depression can be transient  for some, but typically not. If you sit back and wait for it to go without getting therapy or meds if you want them, then no its likely to worsen.  You have to be proactive if you want it to resolve, if you dont want to then no problems as long as you dont then complain that things arent getting any better

    Yes of course

You could try Relaxation Techniques and Breathing Exersises that may help you to be more calm.

I do not know if you are having Therapy or taking Medication. Your GP will keep you right
