Gallbladder removal

Hi all smile I had my gallbladder removed on 23-11-16 a week after I delveoped a temperature and went to my Gp when I got there the wound was oozing brown discharge and was sent back to te surgical assessment unit to which they open the wound up and irrigated it and packed it ...I'm am now having to have this done every day ...I have good days and bad days with regards to pain but not sleeping great as I'm still very tender ..I work in an office Andy bae been signed off work for 4 weeks in which I'm dieback next week I have an appointment to see my gp tomorrow as the nurse thinks the wound may still be infected my query is will I be entitled to anymore time off work as I only started the job in October will extra time be needed as I still have an open wound that needs card everyday ..thank you smile

    It may take a few appointments before it turns normal!! Good luck and stay healthy!! Take care!!

    Stay consistent with the doctors. They get busy and an can easily push u away. I read a article of a lady who went through the same thing and died bc of the infection spreading to other organs. The doctors only cleaned what they could see as visible but never bothered to further investigate. YES people can die from a gallbladder removal!
