So about 2 weeks ago I've started to get this horrible pain. It first started on my back but not entirely all my back but sort of in the edge of the left part of my back and it'd just be out of no where especially when I tried to sit up or just me leaning my back onto a pillow. So that's one part of the pain. But today well I get this pain once in a while but today it felt super super horrible where I couldn't even move or take big breaths because it would just be hurting alot. And so I decided to press onto the left side of my body in guess it might be the ribs (not so good with body parts) and it was at lea store for a minute or two. But the pain I got today started from my right side clavicle onto the right side of my rib to the left.....later o got up to wash my teeth and my chest hurt and it felt as if I was going to get the pain again.

    Hi Jenn

I live with a fair amount of pain and generally speaking, a pain that takes your breath away/makes it hard to breathe/forces shallow breathing is a really bad pain which shouldn't be ignored. I have no idea what caused that pain but I would go see someone about it Do not minimize the pain when describing it .

    Hi jennixxie,

?I agree!  When it comes to Sjogren's, don't ignore the pain, especially the pain that takes your breath away!  I too live with a lot of pain due to my Sjogren's, and there is no telling what part of the body it decides to hit, and when!  I would have it checked out as well!!  My Sjogren's has gone inside to my organs, including my kidneys, and have kidney failure.  I have a lot of pain in my back and kidney area that becomes pretty bad, and takes my breath away at times.  I not only see my Rheumatologist, but also have to see my Kidney specialist to take care of this.  So, really...don't ignore these things, and don't put these things off until later!  You can really put yourself in danger.  I waited a week too long, thinking it would go away, and it didn't.  Therefore making things worse.  I wish you luck!!!  Let us know how things go!!  God Bless!

    Hi

I have really bad inflammation in my chest it has been there for several years and causing pain all around my chest,The doctor has suggested a major op to scape the inflamation out, because it is that bad,, thanks but no thanks,, could it be that ?? It can cause the same pain of someone having a heart attack, get it checked out , a blood test would pick up bad inflammation too, It was sore all around especially if i pushed into my chest but not that hard either, just another avenue for you to look at.

Get checkef out by a cardiologist to rule out anything there. If that's clear, see a gastroenterologist for a good check up. My gallbladder has flaired up and I have had some of the same excruciating pain. Hang in there.

I have also had to have lung surgery because of nodules in the lungs, liver and kidneys. Drs thought for sure it was end stage csncer. I let them have their 99% but I told the surgeon I was keeping my 1%. He was schockef and so was my family. The nodules are there but not cancer. They are being formed by what the pathologist referred to as unknown accumulations caused by Sjogrens Syndrome. This illness affects all aspects of our lives but we have to keep going, learning and always being prepared for what's next. Good luck.
