Hi Carol
I have had tinnitus for around 5 years I was diagnosed with MD earlier this year I also have a disfunctional Eustachian tube which is very annoying. My MD attacks come and go initially I had them every day for around 9 months but then they started to subside. I had stopped having salt not sure if this has helped. People with this condition suffer differently and to different degrees. I'm sure if your specialist has diagnosed you it will be correct. Take care

Hi Carol
I am also partially deaf in both ears. I have found this site and it's members extremely helpful it's nice knowing we are not suffering on our own. I didn't realise there were so many sufferers until I joined.

I think your diagnosis is probably correct. I also have hypothyroidism. I've read that they think there can be a connection between thyroid issues and Menieres for some people. Who knows! But after I got medicine for my thyroid, the vertigo episodes practically stopped. But that may have been due to the diuretic, which I started at around the same time. It is always hard to know what thing exactly helped with the vertigo and what exactly triggers them.
