I am being treated for PRM and now the prednisones is causing Central serious rentopathy has anyone else had problems with prednisone

    You can get steroid induced CSR.  However there is something called GCA that also causes eye problems and is associated with PMR. It can cause blindness if not treated with a high dosage of prednisone. I assume your doctor would have checked that this is not the case. 

    Prednisone does have a lot of possible side effects around eighty two! I don't think anyone is so unlucky to have had all of them though. A lot of people have none of them.

    I should have said with GCA you normally have a bad headache, tender scalp and jaw pain when eating, as well as the eye problems.

    Like ptolemy, I'd be concerned about GCA and get it checked out ASAP if you haven't already - and by  ASAP I mean today~!

      I saw a rat the specialist and going back to see him into weeks he thinks it's stress related but he also said something about my macula

    There is one lady on another forum who has central serous retinopathy - but I think it isn't actually due to the pred. She has continued with her pred because her diagnosis is GCA and her eye specialist says the GCA could cause blindness, the CSR is less likely to do so.

      T Thank you for your reply the retina specialist wants to see me back in two weeks to perform more test
