I suggest you see an allergist or auto immune specialist be sure they know about HAEA. You will need to have your compliments in your blood tested. I get this but not as often as you.

      HI Vijay-

I found going to the HAEA website very informative. I called them and they returned my call. They were very helpful in finding a good doctor who understand this issue. I was not diagnosed with HAE but i have identical symptoms, and i may be what they call an HAE III case, which is currently not diagnosable or medically understood. There is a matrix on the website that details all types of angioedema and i found that helpful. Try to identify your triggers and get allergy tested to see if perhaps your are allergic to some food or substance. For me if found that too much alcohol can trigger my episodes. Stay away from the common allegens: latex, peanuts, pet dander, etc. and see if you can help the Dr. eliminate or identify a trigger.  If the HAEA test come back normal your doctor should also test you for immune systems disorders; lupus, psoriatic arthritsis, etc. etc. (there are many so it may take numerous blood tests). If i get the oedema in my feet or hands 4 advil stops its progression. Some oedema is also helped by antihisatmines like benydrl while other like HAE are not helped but it. But it is worth a try. Best of luck.

Go to Haea org and you can read a lot about the various types of oedema's.  i found it very helpful, i still dont know which one i have but reducing alcohol has appeared to help. You may need to direct your doctor to this website or print out the blood tests needed to confirm or eliminate the HAE diagnoses. Best of luck Vijay
