Fast heartbeats after successful ablation

Hello all. I have been experiencing fast heartbeats now and then since my surgery in July 2016. They are by no means like the palpitations I had before surgery, but are concerning nonetheless. Has anyone else experienced faster heartbeats? If so, is it common after a successful ablation? I just don't know if I need to see my doctor. I can't pinpoint what triggers them. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

I had my ablation done around 3 weeks ago and I have noticed a faster than normal resting rate at times. I believe that it may be a side effect of the ablation but having dealt with with it for most of my life, I think I'd rather deal with the faster beat than another SVT episode. Obviously, you know yourself better than anyone, so you should consult your doctor if your uncertain. Best of luck and keep us informed of your progress. There are definitely a lot more people dealing with this.

I think your post ablation experience is not unusual, Rachnroyce.  I hope you'll see your physician soon and get some encouraging news.  Take care.
