Can Prozac really cause all over muscle and joint pain, I had never known pain like it until I took Prozac?! Could it really cause me all this discomfort? I am off Prozac now, it has been 6 weeks without it. Can I expect it to pass after time?

Sometimes we can mistake actually anxiety/depression/stress symptoms as side effects from medication. I had the same aches in muscles and joints even went to an holistic masseuse. Its seems that once the prozac got into my system the aches and pains got better, not gone completely but 80% better, wether thats the anxiety i had going, hormones and my age or side effects from prozac i'll probably never know. Yoga pilates and light exercise has been a life saver for me

I am so glad you asked this question.  I have been on Prozac for 2 1/2 years.  Not long after I started, I experienced muscle and joint pain.  I'm not sure if it's a side effect from the drug or just one of those irritating "getting older" aiments.  I have a few other irritating physical ailments that may or may not be attributed to the drug.  I do know, however, that panic attacks and IBS have gone away.  Prozac has worked well for me.
