Hi Everybody I had a posterior repair 1 year ago .I have just changed jobs .I am a Teaching assistant in a school and have been moved upstairs.I am going up and down 2 flights of stairs 6/7 times a day.I am also on my feet so much more, after 1 week I am noticing a pulling sensation like i did in recovery when I had done too much.My question is after a year is this normal.Has anyone else experienced this and will it go in time ? Thanks everyone.

Hi pam. After a year you shouldn't really be having this sensation however you could be using muscles in the pelvic area that you haven't used a great deal since your surgery. Personally I wouldn't be too concerned and I'd wait and see if things improve.

Hi Pam. I am also a teaching asst in a primary school for children with special needs and lots of challenging behaviours. I had a total hysterectomy,A&P repair and a tvt last April. I went back in sept and boy it's been exhausting. I was recovering really well but since going back I've had pain near pubic bone area. which is being investigated. I've been on antibiotics and anti-inflammatories as he thought it was inflammation of the muscles on and around the pubic bone. But they didn't do anything. I was back last fri and he trying me on imipramine for nerve pain for 4 weeks. If no joy he's referring me to an orthopaedic specialist. My pain is made worse when I do any bending so changing children is something I haven't been able to do. Even picking toys up from floor or sitting on smaller chairs etc has been hard. It's really made my role as a TA very difficult. I've been so stressed too as head hasn't been too supportive trying to push me to go sick instead of adjusting my duties. But after many battles they have as a temporary measure but I worry how long they will do this for. I just want to be able to do my job. I really feel for you too. I don't have stairs in my school but I'm constantly walking through the corridors from class to class. X
