Swallowing problems

Hello everyone I was wondering if someosomeone could help me and I'm really depressed and stress from all this trouble I'm having with my throat. I've never suffered with any anxiety problems or anything so I know I'm not crazy. For about 12 days I've had this lump feeling in my throat and feel like when I eat food gets stuck and to go with this my neck and under my jaw was so numb for days. The numbness has gone but I still can't swallow anything at all it gets stuck and my glands feel very strange under my chin, I also had this strange feeling on my neck just above the coller bone.
I'm very concerned and worried and haven't stop crying for days because I cannot eat and haven't eaten for four days I feel very sick and just want to know what's going on.
I went to one doctor that didn't even look inside my mouth just fobbed me off and said it was tonsilitis which it's not. I finally saw my doctor who was concerned and could feel swelling on the right side of my neck and it's only the right side playing up now and again the numbness comes back but it's its driving me crazy! I'm so scared I'm only 20 years old and don't want to have these problems at all.
I had a blood test today to check my thyroid so have to wait and see I'm also waiting for a appointment to come in the post to see a throat specialist I'm so worried and scared I just want it to go.
It's effecting my living as I cannot eat so that's making me weak and it's not helping being anemic I constantly feel sick.
Can anybody give me some answers or has the same symptoms?

I had thyroid bloods all came back in normal range but the doc could feel a swelling in my neck i had a thyroid scan and had a 4cm thyroid nodule .
I had biopsys it was benign thank goodness but because of how it affected my swallowing and breathing the surgeon decided to remove the nodule and half my thyroid i had the opperation in may last year and as soon as i woke up that lump in my throat feeling had completley gone .

Thank you for replying. I hope that's all it is and that it's its nothing more evil then that..ive gone into such an anxiety state the last 12 days I just want it to go as I'm to scared to even eat in case it gets stuck I'm so hungry should I eat? Or will I choke did you experience this?

Yes I do have Facebook but I don't really use it if I'm honest yes I'm from the UK where are you from? but I will have a look at the page thank you. I want to eat but I'm just so scared maybe I can some how bring myself to eat if I just relax maybe I don't know it's causing me so much stress because I could do with out this right now it's a new year everything was going well, I just started a new job also I live with my boyfriend and have done for nearly 4 years we both just started to feel better about life and started to go out more and do things now this has happen I feel like such bad luck 😭 just wish it would go. It's not good when my 21st birthday is coming up and.my boyfriend has booked a hotel and wanted to take me out for something to eat so that's ruined that I guess I don't want to be so depressed all the time. Also am I making it worse by looking and what it could be on the internet?

Thyroid cancer is extremly rare but thyroid nodules are common 99% are benign but i know exactly how you feel i was off work for 3 months as it made me so anxious ask your doctor for a thyroid scan and remember the blood tests are not a true indicator to whats going on mine always came back normal except my iron was low xx

I also have little white dots towards the back of my tongue and red bumps did you have this I'm extremely worried and getting myself it to a panic again

First of all honey, you have to eat to keep your strength up, even if it is only soup or smoothies! ! Im curious to know if the first doctor gave you an antibiotic. With the spots on the back of your throat, it could just be severe tonsillitis or strep throat, and the lumps you are feeling may be swollen lymph nodes.
But no matter what, DO NOT give up until you get the correct diagnosis!! Some doctors are so arrogant and aggravating. I recently went to the ER with some serious symptoms. The ER doc was a jerk and told me all of my bloodwork came back normal, so I asked for a copy of my labs. He lied to me because my kidneys and liver are not functioning properly according to my bloodwork, my urine has blood, protein, bilirubin and calcium. I went to a different doc who thinks I have a tumor on my parathyroid glands. Im going to write a letter to the hospital administrator of the ER I went to. This tumor is something that could cause a lot of damage to my body. So please dont give up until they find out what is wrong with you. And please try to relax if you can. I know its difficult. Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing!!

Hello Debbie, thank you for replying I did not get giving antibiotics at all which I don't understand why as I think these white spots and red lumps on my tongue could be bacterial? Maybe I don't know I also have this lump now on my neck just below my jaw line at the end of my jaw. I'm very worried but still haven't got the appointment in the post yet to say when I have to see a throat specialist it's taking a long time and I'm just getting more and more worked up and depresses. Im trying to relax and stay calm but it's so difficult I will try eat some soup today to see if that feels ok.
Sometimes I experience clicking like at the roof of my mouth when I swollow I hope everything is ok and that it goes soon thank you for you go your reply
