a myringoplasty

My daughter just had a myringoplasty 3 weeks Tuesday she had her check up but doctor dint take packing out he said was dissolvable but I thought it hat to come out?? She has had 3 sets of grommets in her left ear and not 1 in the right as she had a hole in she had her Adeniods out too! But when she had opp doctor spotted somethink she showed me pic she things it's a disease in her bones but she took this pic to a higher doctor so she been referred so we are waiting for appoinment it's just waiting game but does anyone know if the packing has to come out even if it was dissolvable ?

    I would image it depends on what the surgeon used for packing material.  My packing definitely came out.  I remember it well, though it was only a few months ago, it was very uncomfortable to put it mildly.

    I had surgery 2 weeks ago--my outer packing was removed last week when they removed sutures but they said the inside packing would dissolve on its own.

    hi I had my pack in till 6 weeks after the operation go back next week for check up.
