Fitness Band

I get intermitant AF and take meds as and when. There never seems to be a trigger. My son gave me a fitness band which I wanted but after wearing it, on the second night I experienced my first episode of AF in months. Would there be a connection?

Hi mollysox, I also have intermittent AF, I have beat my brains out whenever I get An  episode of atrial fib on what brought it on too heavy of a meal not enough food sleeping on my left side bending over not enough sleep stress there's so many things that I think trigger it but I really don't know for sure and it drives me crazy..One would wonder why a fitness band would cause atrial fib?  But who knows . I've not seen that one on the list of what triggers AF yet..

Hi, thanks for replying. Mine is always at night which somehow makes it more scary. I was just thinking electrical, technology don't know really. I am very "electric" ie shocks from car etc so thought something interrupted my rhythm.

I did have a ready meal last night which I see had red wine in but really? I don't drink now as that did seem to spark things off. Dr doesn't seem worried so I guess I shouldn't!!

      ?What else would trigger it?

If you're on regular meds try taking them later in the day. I used to take my bp med (Bisoprolol) in morning and got afib episodes at night. Since taken my meds in the afternoon haven't had an episode.
