Have horrible ETD for a year now, Ive been to my GP, two ENT specialists, am currently undergoing a series of 12 accupuncture treatments,which i dont think is doing much good if any at all. Have tried all combos of treatments from steroids and antibiotics and to no avail. The only relief i get is when I'm sleeping and  a twice a day dose of a 1mg Xanax. Calms me down, less anxiety , but not a cure obviously. I'm happy to let you all know that due the advice os some on this forum, I have an evaluation on 2/24/2017 to see if I'm a candidate the balloon dilation procedure. I live in Trenton,N.J. and was fortunate to find an ENT about 30 miles from my home located in Voorhees NJ who does perform this procedure as an outpatient service in a surgical suite in his complex. Please send out all the positive energy you can and hope that this is a viable answer and conclusion to this miserable time I've been going through....and I am thankful this is all it is considering what a lot of people have to deal with otherwise medically...but it still annoying as hell and a major pain in th A--!!!

    Merlin my son had this done a few years ago. He was completely deaf in one ear. This procedure gave him back his hearing in his left ear. 

    Positive thoughts and healing blessings sent ur way.

    Merlin! Please keep us updated after your appointment! Many of us on here are considering the balloon dialation as well. I am hoping to have mine done in the next three months, but have to travel to Dallas from Alabama for it. I wish you the best of luck!
