Endometriosis what are the chances?

Good morning ladies. I'm due a Laproscopy and Hysteroscopy on the 28th February. I have PCOS & Vaginismus diagnosed aged 13. I started my periods aged 9 and ever since have had excruciating pain with them, I put all of the pain down to PCOS until I realised that there has to be a limit to how much pain is too much. I suffer with many of the symptoms, pelvic, back pain, pain upon urinating and rectal pain. I get pains weeks before my period mostly a dull back pain and sore breasts, this can happen 2/3 weeks before my actual period. At the moment I've had some breakthrough bleeding as I've came off Cerazette and the aches down my legs are just unbelievable, this has been something I've always had when on my periods but never put it down to anything, my hips are killing me and I'm finding it difficult to get around and move at work. The cold is making it worse too. I'm quite obviously severely bloated too but that's nothing new around this time. I really hope they find something whilst doing the laparoscopy purely because if they don't, we'll then start having to look for the next solution. Judging by your own experiences does this sound like a case of endo? I really hope I'm not exaggurating but this has messed with my life for years and I am only young still. The chronic fatigue that I feel daily is unbareable. I just want this all gone or want to gain some relief. I have to miss so much work time and spend so much money on GP fee's it's just getting too much sad

    Hi Laura

Let me say right off: I don't know if you have endo, and no matter what any of us say, you'll find out for sure in a few weeks.

But I'll also say that I agree with you that your life shouldn't be taken over by all this pain, etc, missing work, doctor's visits & fees, and generally missing out on all the fun of being young. I wish I had a solution for you but I don't, only my empathy.

Have you seen a pain specialist?

Hi aitarg35939 thank you very much for your response and apologies for my delay in replying.

It's just under two weeks now until I have a laparoscopy so it won't be long, I'm feeling pretty impatient and just want answers however I know it isn't long now.

Last year alone I spent over £1,500 on doctors fee's which is absolutely ridiculous. Thank you so much for your empathy I really appreciate it.

I have not seen a pain specialist at all, health care here is very limited, I think I will look into that as soon as this is all out of the way regardless of whether it is endo or not. Thank you very much for mentioning that otherwise I wouldn't have thought of it!

I'd be on tenterhooks with the wait, too. To be honest, I avoid pain doctors BUT if I had active indoor whatever causes your pain, I recall the desperation and would give them a try.

Let me know how it goes, but no pressure. Just talk when you feel like it.
