suspected pelvic inflammatory disease

Hi I was wondering if I could get some advice. For a about a month now I've had pelvic /stomach pain and lower back pain. The pelvic pain is a stinging pain whereas the back is a dull ache. I was found to have chlamydia as well as bacterial vaginosis and a urine infection. I was put on antibiotics for all three infections, but the only symptom cleared up was discharge. Yesterday I was admitted to hospital with suspected appendicitis as I was in so much pain, but I had am ultrasound and everything showed up normal. They have just told me to continue my antibiotics (my 2nd week of tjem) and given strong pain killers to take away the pain. I have also been prescribed medicine for thrush (intense burning of vagina and discharge) but it hasn't helped. Is there anything else it could be? I would of thought if it was pid it would show on my scan. I'm worried about spinal problems

If symptoms persist then your doctor should consider updating the course of antibiotics as gonnorhea and chlamydia have developed resistance to certain antibiotics .

I don't think you should be worried about spinal problems since infection is present in your case. Spinal or nerve damage mostly causes voiding issues like urinary retention or loss of bladder control.

Thank you for replying! I was on doxycycline for a week for the chlamydia and metrazidole for the bv, but they have put me on ofloxcin and metrazidole which I have been on for 5 days now and still no relief. I'm worried about being on ofloxacin for too long due to its side effects with tendentitus and I have started to get a nagging pain in my calf. Is there anything it could be that wouldn't show in an ultrasound? I am concerned about blocked ovaries or ovarian cancer but they said my ovaries looked a normal size

Better to seek help of a qualified urologist than stuffing your head on the internet if symptoms still persist. Mostly they perform laparoscopy to examine PID or any other abnormality.

I don't think you have ovarian cancer since ultrasound was normal and blocked ovaries rarely present any symptoms but I'm no specialist so my opinion holds little merit. The only advice I can offer you don't stress about it too much. That makes it worse. Internet is a scary place and it always end up making you believe you have cancer or some other terminal illness. Make sure to bring up all your questions and doubts the next time you visit a specialist.
