I have what feels like a hard lump on my retromolar pad , just had OPG X RAY which didnt show any problems but i still keep stressing about it Dentist assures me its all ok , Has anyone else had this or is my anxiety getting the better of me , Cant stop googling and scared

Mo, if the dentist says everything is OK after a panoramic X-ray, then I suspect you're right, and it is just your anxiety getting the better of you!
Let it go for six weeks or so, to see if there's any change. If you're still worried about it then, you could ask your dentist to take a single X-ray of the affected area. I don't know a lot about this, but my dentist once told me they can get more info from these X-rays than the panoramic kind. If you're still worried after that, try getting yourself referred to a maxillofacial specialist (usually referred to as an oral surgeon in the US, I believe).

Thank you so much for your reply , I suffer badly with anxiety ,which seems to be getting worse latly , Cant seem to get my mind of it and keep checking, Went back to dentist and he assurred me all ok but will speak to my doctor , and yes perhaps try and forget about it ,Have no other symptoms and dentist said common to get lumps and bumps where wisdom teeth were This anxiety i hate it!!!!!!! thanks hon

Health anxiety is a separate condition from GAD (general anxiety disorder) and falls into the same category as OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder). It can be a real life-wrecker, but can often be alleviated by CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy).
I hope you can find some help for this very distressing condition.
