Hi all this is my very first post ??. Just wondering if any one had been to a f2f at woolich or anywhere near by and if so how long did you wait for a decision?

Thanks in advance

Hi Sophie, welcome to the forum.

My face to face wasn't anywhere near yours, mine was in Devon and had my decision within 3 weeks.  I asked for a copy of the assessors report a few days after the F2F and that arrived within about a week.

      Hi Sophie,

Mine wasn't near yours either and waited 2 weeks the first time and 4 days the 2nd time. As you can see times do vary depending on backlog in your area. Hopefully you won't be waiting too long. As Sukes said ring and ask for a copy of the assessment report. This may give you some indictation of the decision, although the decision maker can go against it. Good luck.

Thank you for your comments sukes and denise. i have read through most of the other threads and comments and saw that the decision times diferenciate depending on what part if the country you are in. Its my other half that has applied. I mentioned that he could ask for the report now but he said it would cause him more stress if he knew what was written.

I attended the meeting with him and we bith felt ut went well. We were both open and honest ( as i look after him i have a good insight to my partners needed ect) but reading some of the comments im actually anxious for him as iv seen alot of people tell of lies ect .....fingers crossed x

      Hi Sophie,

I can understand him not wanting to see the report if it would cause him more stress and I really hope the decision from the DWP is a good one for him, however if the decision was not as you both hope, the report will help in doing a mandatory reconsideration.  Hopefully it won't come to that.  All the best x

      Hi Sophie,

my swory is positive, I was on DLA since 1995 MRC and HRM when I was invited to apply for PIP (I had no choice as we all know)  I ended up with enhanced rate for both care and mobility, so I did slightly better than on DLA.  Never give up, truth will out. xx
