TMJ need info

I believe i have TMJ and I am having neck pain and pain down my right arm which is the same side as my TMJ is on. Is it possible that the TMJ could make my right arm hurt? I have an appointment to see a TMJ specialist but I was hoping to know something before I see my GP about my neck and arm.

Thank you Rocky, I have read this same information online and it still doesn't really answer my questions. Unless I can assume that the lack of information about the arm means that the arm is never part of TMJ.

That's true ,  arm is too far from TMJ joint.

The pain in the neck and arm are sometimes related to cardio-vascular.

TMJ pain is related to these:

facial pain, restricted jaw function and joint noise.

Pain located around the TMJ but may be referred to the head, neck and ear.

Pain, located immediately in front of the tragus of the ear, projecting to the ear, temple, cheek and along the mandible, is highly diagnostic for TMD.

Although, neck pain can sometimes be related to TMD.

Cardiac pain (angina and acute coronary syndromes) can radiate to the neck and jaw but is usually more acute.

Thank you for answering my questions Rocky. I don't beleive it is a cardiac event because it has happened several times and nothing has come of it and it doesn't feel like one. Plus I have a cardiologist and have had my heart checked several different ways and although I have some blockage, it is basically fine. (I have had a few strokes)

Now that I have your opinion on TMJ, I suspect it is arthritis. I have arthrist in several joints throughout my body and it may have settled into my neck and arm too. I do know that I have had problems with tendentious in that elbow in the past.

I value the opinion of sufferer's from the disease so much. I use this site for another disease I have and I get so much info from it. Thank you for your help.

      BTW what is TMD?
