Pain in same place after gallbladder removal

Posted , 4 users are following.

I keep getting pain in the same place where my gallbladder was. I'm 7 weeks post op. It's not there all day but does come and go especially at night. I do stick to a very low fat diet.

I'm also having pain out my back. Has anyone had anything similar?

Me. No one can figure out why. I've been taking tramadol for almost 2 years now. I did find out I might be gluten sensitive so I'm going gluten free hoping that is why I have the pain. Good luck

Yes, myself two years post-op.  I, too, stick with a very low fat diet, as that can still set off more issues for me. This may lessen in time for you, the pain.  If it gets worse, I would definitely check with your physician.  You'll be in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi, have you gone back to your Dr, as it can be a common issue with a slight build up of fluid or infection both of which would need antibiotics, just better to check.

There is also another possibility of a stone in the bile duct and Oddi Disfunction but both of them are debilitating & you would have serious sickness and have to be in A&E for help to get over the episode.

Also take it easy people often do too much , but for peace of mind go and see your Dr.

I've also had the SOD surgery. I'm thinking a test said I may have celiac so I'm going down that path.

      Hi Patricia

bless you not what you need to have going on, did the SOD surgery help you at all?

I believe the SOD works or does not work at all. Unfortunately for me it didn't work.

      Hi Patricia

Have to admit that's how I read it all & im very worried for my daughter now, she has suffered since 18 & now will be 21 in April & she just isn't getting any better after anything they try.

We will have to see what this specialist in London says appointment can't come soon enough.

Hope you get some respite soon.
