Can the hip 'move' within the new joint?

I had my total hip replacement in July 2014 and still limp, in fact I walk quite lopsided at times like when I'm tired or have walked too far and have begun to use a plantar fasciitis ankle sleeve to help with the pain I'm suffering in my left leg now! sad

?Sometimes my THR leg seems ok but 'light compared to my 'good' leg which seems 'heavy', is this something others are aware of?

Thanks

Get your leg length measurement done. That could be the cause of your pain. Mine has caused scoliosis of my back.

It could be that the muscles need to be woken up and made to work correctly again to support you.  Don't forget you have probably been walking 'wonky' due to pain for years before the THR.  I know that's what it's been for me.  I have now taked up Pilates to try to correct my posture and retrain my muscles.
