Could it be DH ?

Sorry if it's long winded but I have been undergoing tests for eye pain including an mri. The doctor thinks it's dry eye and blepharitis but we have optic neuritis in the family although doctor pretty certain it isn't.

Last year I had two patches of intensely itchy mirror imaged rash on my thighs. They eventually disappeared and did not really respond to creams. I now have them on the top of both feet and under my arms, my head is really itchy and I have random prickly and itchy areas with no rash. I suffer from dry skin and always thought I had an interactive thyroid but bloods have not shown this. I suffer with constipation but no other stomach problems.

I can sleep twelve hours and still feel that I could sleep another twelve. To me I look pale and dark areas under my eyes.

I can't say I'm I'll but I am certainly not right.

I am going for the results of my Mri tomorrow and have not mentioned the other symptoms to the doctor but will do tomorrow.

I'm sure my husband thinks I'm a hypochondriac.

Thank you in anticipation of your answers, sometimes I think I'm going mad

I think DH could fit, although I'm not familiar with that type of rash.  I suggest seeing a dermatologist and have it checked/biopsied. I also think it will help you ot have some blood tests: Coeliac and b12/pernicious anaemia. (not ususally rash with PA, but my eyes feel like yours & I know the feeling of wanting sleep - all from low B12) I couldn't believe how many of my various symptoms were all linked to B12 deficiency!

It's possible that you do have a few conditions, and since your own husband thinks you're over-thinking it, just keep going to doctors who can either diagnose or rule out conditions...as you have been with the eye specialist. LOTS or ALL of us feel like we're going mad, especially before diagnoses/treatments!  Keep eating as you normally do and see about dermatology and bloodwork.

GL and please keep us posted!

Thank you I will. What I can't cope with is the lethargy I usually run lots but haven't really got the energy. This after last year when I ran four half marathons

Well I got my mri results back and it doesn't show ms. I still have a dry eye and blepharitis despite cleaning my eyes twice daily. I asked the doctor about the rashes but he said it was some form of dermatitis. But then it's not his specialty.

I have made an appointment with my go for this week. I am still itching badly.

They did discover I have an underdeveloped cerebellum though.

Wait, what?! I take it that your cerebellum is mildly underdeveloped...? It's usually quite a serious condition that affects balance, movement, even feeding in infants/children... Yikes! Glad yours wasn't even detected until now I guess. HUGS!!

Well I had an appointment with a gp today and she agreed that it is a dermatitis that could have a dietary link. She has given me some topical steroids but she doesn't seem to think it's celiac because I have constipation not diarrhoea. Anyway I am having blood tests next week including iron levels thyroid function and celiac screen so watch this space btw she did tell me not to stop eating gluten

She could have sent you to a dermo - GPs won't be able to determine if it's DH or not, which is key.  BUT, the blood screen for CD is her way of saying, "maybe" and that's fine, too...Glad she instructed you to stay on gluten!

GL with the results of your tests and yes, please do update when you know more!
