Hello guys,

I want to start off by immedietaly saying my symptoms, i need to know if it is esophagitis.

Symptoms:

1) Discomfort on my chest bone behind it ( which sometimes gives me the need to take deep breath )

2) abdominal pain and bowel movement varies ( constipation and dihareaa )

3) Difficulty swallowing

4) Throat seems to have yellowish to white color on the back of my throat

5) coughing sometimes out of no where but not too often ( 3-4 times daily )

Just an information about what i've done, echo of my abdominal part, echo of my heart and endoscopy and blood test also thyroid blood test all came out clear however before doing the endoscopy i went to an ENT doctor he made the test scope from nose to throat and he said it was acid reflux because he saw my throat and esophagus not okay, but after endoscopy i confirmed it was not acid reflux but never checked again with my ENT.

Can anyone let me know if that sounds like esophagitis?

    Hi John,

You really need to see a gastrologist to be checked for Achalasia. I had x-rays, swallow test & a scope but after the pressure test (tube up nose, down throat, measuring pressure while swallowing) did they find Achalasia. These were under guidence of Gastrologist.

It really sounds like you might have the beginning stages but I'm not a doctor.

    Best of luck to you.
