ENT test results

Hello everyone, promised to give u an update to after my ENT appt. today. Abnormal results for Ecoch G. & VNG.  Based on my results, the audiologist suggested the possibility of Menieres Disease and/or Hydrops in both ears. Also, left and right BPPV. My ENT dr said that he does not necessarily agree with the Menieres disease diagnosis as I am experiencing ear pain and my hearing is good, not typical for Menieres patients. His thoughts are possibly the cervical degeneration issue but before he sends me off to other specialists, he discussed a drug, Nistatin, that is typically used for oral thrush but has been seeing great results for autoimmune ear issues. These findings were based on research undertaken at a California ear clinic

I decided to give this drug a try as I am quite desperate for some relief. This also interests me as when I visited the acupuncturist, he mentioned my energy levels were extremely depleted which certainly would pave the way for auto immune issues. So, as usual will keep you posted. Hard not to depressed with this but thanks to support group and becoming aware of well known celebs (LeBron James, Nicholas Cage, Janet Jackson, ...) that are dealing with this and still pushing on, it helps to keep us moving forward smile

Really hope the nystatin helps. Have you had serc for the bppv?

I hope so too, thanks smile

Yes, I have tried serc and doesn't do anything for me. Have you been on it and if so, does it work for you?

I think it helps a bit, especially in the mornings, but then I'm not sure I've got bppv
