Feeling guilty

From my own personal experiences, and from reading some of your posts. We all have at some point felt guilty, whether its not being able to work, letting a friend down for coffee, turning down invitations down to wedding or partys. What ever the reason we shouldnt feel GUILTY. WE DID NOT ASK FOR THIS CONDITION, WE DONT WANT THIS CONDITION NONE OF IT IS OUR FAULT AND MAKING. Hope all have a good bank holiday weekend. Take good care of yourselves gentle hugs to all xx

I think that getting friends/family to understand this condition is extremely frustrating. Because we don't always "look sick" they can't comprehend why we have to cancel plans or turn down invitations. I had to cancel this week on my friend who had gone to lots of trouble to make afternoon tea for me and a couple of others. I felt so terrible, but she has MS so was very understanding and compassionate. The next day I felt much better than the previous day which is just typical. I cried when I couldn't go as the last couple of weeks have been so awful. Today is a good day so I'm going to enjoy it. Sending hugs to you all and have a good weekend xx

    Well put together Kaz.

I used to feel guilty in the past, but now I don't after all we too have feelings and need to express how we feel from time to time without feeling GUILTY.

Life is too short and we must move forward with positive and calm attitiude to each day that comes our way.

    Gentle hugs wink xx

Oh wow Kaz, can you read my mind. This is something I am just trying to come to grips with at present in my life. I socialise when I can but it seems to be the luck of the draw, which days I have a flare up and which I do not. I think I am starting to get a bad reputation of being flakey, but what can you do. I am trying to get rid of negative thoughts out of my life at present, so Mr Guilt will just have to vacate these premises. I know I will always try to do the right thing by other people but if not possible, such is life with Fibro. I believe personal integrity is more important than social popularity, I guess I am an old fashioned kind of Gal???

I am so proud of myself as I have managed to cook dinner for my long suffering hubby, how amazing is that. When one has a day with out pain, wow what a blessing.

Hope you weekend is going well Kaz and you are getting some sleep?
