Okay well I have stress and anxiety - are you on any medications for that right now and looking to any medications that you are on to see if they can cause any symptoms of slowing of the bow or constipation or nausea. If you're not on something true rule out if it is anxiety and stress I would ask for clonazepam 0.5 milligrams morning and night for a month and if that makes your symptoms go away and you feel better then I usually chalk it up to that is the problem so if they're going to tell you they think it's all in your head call him out on it. I know many doctors will tell all of us it's in our head and its anxiety and stress but sometimes it's the reverse and it causes stress and anxiety but it's not going to hurt you to try around of clonazepam or some kind of benzo diazepam to rule it out.

If you are being told your symptoms are in your head, change your doctor. He/she should be helping you, not belittling you.

Hi lynette I've been suffering like you for about 4 years now. At first they thought it was my stomach so had tests which only showed mild gastritis.

I've been on so many anti sickness tablets and none of them work for me, I was in hospital last week and got a different jag of anti sickness which cleared it right up but I can't remember what it was!!

Anyway I see a gastroenterologist, and had an appointment last month and he suggested it might be my constipation that's causing the nausea. He said it could be something to do with how the bowel moves round and in my intestines and colon. I often get an impacted stool which could be pressing on certain parts of my stomach or other areas. I've to go back and see him in 2 months and take all my medication with me and hopefully come up with an answer! If you do get constipated I would recommend looking into it as I was seeing him for nausea at first but discuvered about my constipation. I'm also waiting to see a colorectal surgeon.

I hope you can get it sorted soon, I know how horrible it is feeling sick 24/7 but never throwing up!

Don't worry you are not alone! I felt like that when my symptoms started I was so ill, my nausea was so bad that I lost a stone in weight as I couldn't eat anything without making it 10x worse! I've been on every type of anti sickness I'm sure and none have helped me sad I'm at the doctors today for a variety of things and one is to help stop this sickness!

Yes definitely mention it to your gastorentaologist as this is what they specialise in, the abdomen. I'm sure I've been on the same one your on. But because I'm on morphine and so many strong pain killers it's becoming 10x worse.

I hope they can sort you out and let me know how you get on. Feel free to message me whenever if your worried about something. I also got my tonsils removed as they thought that might be making it worse and had no change in me!

      Xx

Hi I have been having nausa everyday for past few months now and a constant sharp pain in the left side of my stomach.  I constantly feel sick but I never actually throw up.

Been this way on and off since developing Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth. Symptomatic relief from Zofran, Tranxene, and ginger ale sipped when needed. I lost weight as haven't had ny appetite sometimes for days. It's an awful feeling.

I had constant nausea and the doctors were useless, they actually made it worse by giving me antacids and their anti-nausea pills didn't work. So after they gave up on me I had to figure it out for myself and believe it to be gut bacteria problems, anything from SIBO, dysbiosis, candida, leaky gut, if you look these things up you will find a lot. I suggest what would be most helpful though is seeing an IBS specialist or functional medicine practioneer who knows about the gut microbiome as I'm fairly certain any gut problem doctors cannot figure out is related to your gut bacteria. Unfortunately its in its infancy to science but even so is being linked to a number of different things and is pretty much the corner stone to your health. I went on a FODMAP diet, especially cutting out fructose, saw a IBS/gut specialist and took a bunch of anti-fungals/probiotics and other things and slowly my nausea went away completely, it won't happen overnight, but I am just so happy it went.
