Flare up

Can people have a flare up without getting a temperature. Got lower abdominal pain and had diarrhoea and bits.I'm 38 years old and was diagnosed last year.

    Hi Clare,its possible that you just ate something that disagrees with you,keep a food diary as its surprising how you forget.

    Yes maybe, for tea I had gammon steak,salad and a piece of cherry cake no cream on. It doesn't matter what I eat, I could have a Chinese and my tummy is fine.

    To get a temperature I think an infection has to be systemic but an infection can also be isolated for a while and not pruduce a temperature.

    I had a horrible diverticulitis attack in March. I didn't know it at first because I didn't have the classic fever and horrible stomach pains. I was very bloated, and had diarrhea after being constipated for a few days. Felt extremely fatigued and dizzy. My husband took me to the ER and they did a CT scan and it showed a bad Diverticulitis infection.Bloodwork also came back high. NEVER EXHIBIT FEVER
