In February I was diagnosed with h Pylori through a stool sample. My GP perscribed me a seven day course of medication and antibiotics which seemed to clear it up.
In May I was struck down again with similar symptoms and my GP said I had gastritis which after being perscribed Lansoprezole did not heal. Since then I was put on Omeprazole and given a endoscopy which showed Mild Reflux of the Upper Oesophagitis.
The Omeprazole was not working still and about seven days ago I was perscribed 300mg Ranitidine to supplement it with. This is still having no effect apart from making me feel slightly better.
I am losing weight and my diet is bland and I am feeling full and bloated when I eat. I also get stomach cramps which seem to come from below the ribcage mainly on the lefthand side. Having just checked these are the same symptoms as h Pylori??
I have another GP appointment this Friday, should I ask for another h Pylori test? Can this horrid, horrid bug rear it's head again so soon?

I'd discuss another H-Pylori test with your GP.
7 days' treatment is rarely enough to eradicate it. And it requires a combination of 2 (sometimes 3) antibiotics.
If you do have gastritis, you need acid suppressants and PPIs like omeprazole are better than H2 blockers like rantidine.
