Hey everyone,
Thought I would check in and let y'all know how it's going with my left tkr and work. I drive a semi and went back to work after 12 wks. Seems to be ok as long as I keep doing exercises and keep my leg up for some of the day. I wear a brace now when I drive and occasionally have to use my cane if I've had a long day. I get tired pretty easy but all in all doing ok. Not looking forward to having the right knee done but will plan that for this year and try to take the winter off from work again.
Thanks to everyone in this forum for the help and suggestions..
Dawn

Great to hear from you! Glad you have been soldiering through the rough spots so well!
You may be like me...second knee MUCH EASIER and feeling better sooner. You never know how the body will be, but we DO KNOW that without surgery the knee that NEEDS SURGERY will only get worse.
You can be proud of all your efforts to get back to your job and getting your life back!
Be safe on those roads!
Keep in touch!

Nice to hear from you and glad the driving is going well.
I think that we all suffer tiredness for many months afterwards...and I can understand careful planning for the next TKR...I had almost two years in between mine, after having to recover from the MUA and wanting to enjoy some 'normal' time. Just as well as my second one has been pretty dreadful.
Hope all continues to go well for you.
Patsy
