Head pressure

Hello..

I finally have been diagnosed after so many Drs and hospitals. Where I live they dont know much about intracranial hypertension. 😳. I was told to sre a specialist so here I am out of state at Duke. Wonderful Dr. Today I had a couple of procedures. Also I have been bedridden for 7 MONTHS. Terrible. I have to go back tomorrow to get more fluid pulled. Im only here until Friday so Im very nervous!!! Im hoping the Dr. can fix me.

    Devin, I hope you're starting to feel better.  It may take a while to feel a relief full time!  If you're interested, there's a FB page for this sort of stuff. I'm on one for CSF leakers, opposite of your problem.  Please take it easy and let your back heal before you go bending, twisting and stuff. You are probably in great hands at Duke.

      Dr. Gray. Procedures two days. Still no relief but she is sending me to other drs. She pulled fluid twice for the head pressure and it came back 😞 do they see your leak? The people here are so nice.

      I'm sorry to hear you have not been relieved yet. They do need to get to the reason its happening! That's good that she's doing that. I pray they find it for you soon!  I'm not a "confirmed" leaker but blood patches have worked a little bit each time. I'm going to Dr Gray so she can run tests the way she does it and seems to be successful finding the actual leak spot.

      Holly ..she is better than any Dr. Ive seen. In my area they have know clue. She will probably do a mylogram on you. Thats where she saw degenerative discs in my neck and feels that may be the source. She made an appt for me to see a neuro then an ortho dr. Here. I may be here longer. Im assuming you will be driving? Just make sure you book a place here a few days. I hope you get fixed too.

      That's what I hear about her! We are driving...13 hours and a bit more for lunch and dinner! Will be a long day!  

      I'm scheduled to have a CT and MR myelogram with blood patching!!! I'm not scared of the procedures but scared it won't work! However, my blind patches have worked a little each time!

      We have a hotel booked for a week! A day or two prior and about 5 days afterwards.
