Headaches?!

Hi, my name is Marissa & I've been having some different headaches then I usually get. They've been starting on the back of my head, to the side (where my ear is), to my temple, forehead & then to the other side in the same areas. This happened once before around November but I was extremely, extremely stressed out then so I wouldn't doubt it if that's what was causing it back then. Well, I went a couple of months without anymore headaches until now. It has me scared to death! Idk what's causing them or anything. A few days ago, I had what felt like a numb feeling come across my left arm but I was still able to feel everything being done to that arm which I assumed was unusual to be able to do to a numb area. I'm scared that this may be caused by a brain tumor or MS. I can't afford to go to the dr or hospital to get checked out so that's kinda out of the question right now unless this keeps up then I'm just gonna have to go anyway & have them bill me & make payments on it. But anywho, last night was the first night my headaches were on & off all night. It was by my ear. I know that going to bed & being disturbed from a headache can't possibly be a good sign so I'm scared to death even more. I e always thought that if I had a brain tumor that I would be having pain only where the tumor is or if I had MS that I'd be having back pain too & I'm not having that. This is really scaring me! Idk what to think.

Thanks,

Marissa

You might want to take baby aspirin (83mg) a day just for precaution until you can have yourself checked

It certainly does not sound like a brain tumor, stroke or MS to be frank. It is much more likely tension headache which can be brought on by stress or physical tension from daytime improper posture and looking down at a screen or slightly higher up than level, either way. Another thing that could cause it is poor sleeping position. If you can't afford to get checked you can try doing lots of neck, back and shoulder stretches and massaging the upper neck and shoulder area with the opposite hand while keeping the area massaged totally limp. working from base of skull, over to around the ears, over to shoulders and down the arm. If this does not help, your first visit should be to an ear nose throat specialist and perhaps also to the dentist. The pains you describe are most likely attributed to one of those IF they are not tension related...though they sound very much like tension headaches.

    All the best.
