Help please!

I've been having a horrible stinging burning pain in my urethra. It happens after I pee, and after an hour the pain very slowly subsides. Sometimes it doesn't subside at all and I have to take a high dose of Tylenol with codeine just to keep from screaming. Seen doctors tons of times with no luck. It's not a UTI, and not an STD. I'm miserable, i feel like I have to pee 24/7. I am looking for tips how to alleviate the pain and what on earth this could be. I've been living in constant pain for months! Barely able to get out of bed!'im so embarrassed too!

Intersticial cystitus can cause severe pain in urethra, bladder, pelvic area, along with frequency, i.c. is inflammation of bladder urethra with no bacteria found in samples, more an immune response causing inflammation, You could have other reasons that cause inflammation, try to drink lots of water, sounds odd when youve frequency but its to dilute urine so no as acid, which can aggrevate inflamed areas, or try a pinch of bicar in water to reduce acid.   i.c can only be diagnosed with a cystascope, you can get more info on c.o.b site, and support for all bladder problems, which they specialise in. The wait for cystascope will be a while, but if your gp can put it as emergency or your able to see urologist privately it would speed it up, But it could be something else as suggested, research both to see if symptoms fit. good luck
