So I have been having typical problems that can be expected with gallbladder pain that have slot nightwly increased since Dec. I posted earlier in the week about it. I'm having an MRI done on the 10th to see what's going on after an, ultrasound revealed no stones. But now I am having problems with hives. It has happened 3 times in the last week. It is always a t night. It starts on one or both legs and thighs and works its way to my butt cheeks. I should mention, I've never had hives in my life. I'm not taking any new meds, not eating anything out of the ordinary nor using new soaps, etc. Ideas?

Itching is one of the signs/symptoms of biliary obstruction. The obstruction is caused by gall stones or a narrowing somewhere in the biliary system. After my gall bladder was removed, I developed this obstruction, and my gastroenterologist placed a stent, somewhere close to my pancreas. Previous to this I had horrible itching every night. After the stent, the itching stopped. The stent opened the narrowing so the drainage of bile would be much improved. Other systems are nausea, vomiting and weight loss. I had all of these. I liked the weight loss, but not the rest. I hope you can get things sorted out soon.
