    Dear Seggy,

Me too , I've had very poor kidney function, but I'm still going, a whole year without medical help or intervention. GP's seem to have little idea of of the severity of poor kidney health on the body. The specialist is the best source of help and information. Keep yourself as healthy as you possibly can,

low salt, healthy exercise, good diet. And most important, keep positive and remember most people are worse off than us!

                                               Good luck, E.

Sometimes severe illness can knock out your kidney function for a while. I have CKD stage 3 and fully expected my GFR rate to keep falling (was 48) but now it's up to 60 so low kidney function can and does improve. I hope that yours does too.

Pretty good at the moment. Not seeing specialisrt until September, so not considered much of a risk !

I was stage '4;' a year ago, so up and down, no problems at the moment. Let's hope it stays that way.

                                                       Regards, E
