I keep getting worse and don't know what to do!

Hello all!

As the title states, I've been getting worse these past two weeks and am unsure what to do.

I had my gallbladder taken out four months ago and pancreatitis. But, before that ever since I could remember, I've always had stomach pain! Now, for the past two weeks it's been getting so bad. Every time I eat, I poop yellow diarrhea. I also get cramps, pain, a stomach that looks huge and my back kills me. I'm also exhausted and can hardly do anything or function. I drink water, and eat healthy! I also take a multivitamin. I've had a blood lab done and everything looks normal. Vitamins are fine. Blood is good! Urine is also good. I have a month before I can get into the GI Drs office. Until then, I am at a loss of what to do! I've tried fiber and inmodium qnd I still poop all day long. I also work out three times a week. I try to stay healthy and active but I'm so tired.

I sleep 8 or more hours a night. I don't smoke or drink. I have no idea what I should do as I hurt so bad and I cannot function anymore!

Thanks!

Hi, It may be worth looking into low FODMAP diet for gastro symptoms as it may help with that? Is there any way you could see a dr any sooner? I hope you manage to get answers x

Hi if you can see the GI doctor why didn't you go to the nearest emergency room they will stop the diarrhea for you you can also get dehydrated by having so much poop I had my gallbladder removed and I remember how painful it was I couldn't do anything because my back was hurting in the side of my back 2 you if you are still having pains you could you can also probably have an infection have you have any temperature if you already try over-the-counter medicine and you can get to the GI doctor soon you should be look by the doctor at the emergency room

Thank you! More than likely I will have to go to the ER! It really does suck! As I even have diarrhea when I don't eat!

This happened to me after having gallbladder removed, I had previously had a colonoscopy done and they found diverticular disease in my intestine and like you my toilet and pain in my tummy got worse, so maybe that procedure is what you need? Just a thought, however everything is so similar x

Hi Stormy. Ask your specialist for a sehcat scan to test for bile acid malabsorption(bam). it produces all the symptoms you are having. i was diagnosed may 2015, & the meds they gave me to control it made things 90% better within 2-3wks. even having had your gall bladder removed you can still have this awful condition. the gall bladder was just a "storage tank" for bile acid. you still produce bile acid every time you eat, & if too much goes to your intestines it causes frequent urgent diarrea especially during/straight after eating, sore rectum/anus, stomach pain. it is often overlooked in may people with bowel conditions as it mimic ibs & ibd, but the test is simple, & the meds very effective. google it for more info...... xxx

I have same issues and no one comes up with answers yet! I am seeing a new Gastro Doctor and getting a colonoscopy done to see if anything is up or down there. After that I don't know. This Gastro Doctor seems to know and I'm waiting for his answers and if and when he does, and if he is right on the pain issues, I'll let you know. But as of now I am on tramadol to ease the pain and it works. Don't abuse it though, it will work for you. Have your primary care doc issue the tram if you can take it. Frank
