I think I have plantar fasciitis?

Over the last week I've been on my feet for up to 18 hours a day with about 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night trying to prepare for a friendsgiving event while also having to work late night shifts. My heels started becoming tight, red and swollen. I didn't know what it was. I Googled my symptoms and this is what I came up with. Plantar fasciitis. I am going to the doctor tomorrow but I am concerned. I was feeling better and decided to go shopping and my feet became inflamed again and hot temp. I had to borrow a wheelchair at target because I literally couldn't walk on my feet. I need advice. I'm kind of scared.

Does not sound like pf as i experienced it, I had a stabbing pain just in front of the heel as though I had a nail sticking in my heel and I could not walk on it at all. It was never swolllen or red only a warm footbath or rolling a cold can under the instep releived the pain. I did have red and swollen toe and ball of the foot that turned out to be gout and that can affect the heel too so you may have gout which is easily cured with Alupurinal tablets. You may of just bruised the heel so try using GEL heelpads as they are only a couple of quid on line and good if you spend a lot of time on your feet of have pf or gout so you will find them useful whatever the cause is.

Hi Tamara, sorry to hear that your in pain.have you only just had the pain this week or has it been a gradual pain that gas came on over a period of time , mine didn't just appear it came on gradually getting more unbearable as time has gone on. Maybe because you have spent so much time on them that the fascia is inflamed ,try some anti inflammatory drugs and treat it before it gets to a point that  you Carnot stand it any longer it's good your going to the doctor but my advice is find a specialist in podiatry who can help you I see a podiatrist surgeon who is excellent they understand feet much better than a normal doctor. Get the best advice to start with or you'll be going round in circles for ages ,,,good luck .
