I want to change medication advise please

I am on Cilalopram 10mg a day since 5 weeks but i am still suffreng form side effects i wanted to change my medication to Escitalopram.

I will go to my Dr next week want to give one more week to Citalopram.

I heard Escitalopram is more effective for anxiety and panic and less side effects if i switch to Escitalopram am i going to have all the side effects from the scratch and are they better then Citalopram.

      Thanks Lynne, do you think if i change the medicine i will be going back to square 1.?

      Well I presume like all medication you will have to taper of the citalopram before going on to the Esc and it will take up to 6 weeks to settle in,

      Everyone reacts differently to medication it almost always gets worse before it gets better but this may be the drug for you

      ok so maybe i will give more time to cita coz its now 5 weeks maybe i should wait for 2 or 3 more weeks......
