It's a powdered bark from America and you mix with water to make a drink you can buy it at any health food shop or on the auction site you know what one I mean not allowed to advertise on the forum but remember what works for one person doesn't for another i take a 50 billion probiotic tablets 1 every morning and after 15 years of ibs pain free at last but it's trial and error until you get one that works for yourself if you want to know about the tablets pm me and I will give you the name and where to buy them

Yes , it is edible. It comes in powder form that you can drink as a tea. I prefer the capsules because of the convenience. Thisnatural product tastes like maple. It protects your

entire GI tract. It also helps

tremendously with my flares of diverticultis. You can find it

online and it is very reasonable and no side effects. I dont take it everyday, even though I should. When i have a flare I get

relief in a few hours with Slippery Elm. I have directed so

many people to this that have had sucess....its crazy!

The hysterical but sad thing is that my GI doctor did not know what it is..... of course...it is natural.

Dont be alarmed of taking 4 three times a day... it is a food

      product not a drug.

      Good Luck to you!

      I hope this helps you.

Yes, probiotics are great for everyone especially for ones

GI tract, but they tend to be very expensive. The Slippery Elm works for me. smile

Thank you I will look into it. I already add olive oil and flax seed to my food so one more should not make a difference smile

If I'm not mistaken slippery elm is an alternative medicine that won't be available on Boots shelf, as it's not a pill, but it's brilliant.

In the US it is not considered an alternative drug. It is labeled

as a food supplement. I'm surprised that you dont have accessto purchase it?
