I am really struggling with my head, thinking, memory and brain fog. Also I struggle with fatigue and I have tinnitus both ears.

It all started on February 6th after a stressful time in my life, I've had a bank of bloods done and an MRI both normal I've been escitalopram since May I've had steroid nasal spray for congestion and antibiotics for a kidney infection a month ago.

I am 38 years old, male and have always been in good health and never over weight and I'm loosing hope that I might ever get my health back, I wouldn't mind so much if I had had a diagnosis that I could come to terms with but all this time and I've basically just been left guessing what's wrong with me which has not helped my mental state I feel like a wreck.

After reading the symptoms you guys are having it seems bang on what I'm going through and was wondering if you could help shine a light on what I should be doing to get a diagnosis. I have been bitten by a tick that I know of but it was when I was a boy, I do spend a lot of time outside so could of been and not noticed.

Any advice at all would be most appreciated, wishing you all good health in the future xx

hi danny, have you been tested for lymes ? if you are in the uk there is only one lab that does the correct testing and it can be difficult to convince your GP of this. Ive spent 4 years now going round in circles seeing countless specialist but finaly im seeing a very good infectious diseases doctor and have had possitive lymes testing (but this was after many misdiagnosis and mistakes with the testing so i can advice now exactly what to ask your GP for and were to get help. i cant remember a tick bite but must have just not noticed. if you have any questions just ask. good luck

      Thanks Vicky

I've not had a Lyme's test yet and don't know if this is what's wrong with me but it seems like a possibility, what are your symptoms.

My next appointment is with a ear nose and throat specialist referred by my GP, so I suppose I'll see what happens then x

hi danny, its worth having the blood test which your GP will arrange if you look at the public health england web site you can see the blood form your GP needs to print off ( dont let them just send a basic blood form with the blood it will just go to your local lab and wont be tested correctly) the form needs to have "please forward to porton down" written on it also "please test for co infections" should also be written on by your doctor and there is a simple symptom request part to fill in. i cannot stress enough that this is done properly otherwise this test wont go any further than a local lab. my symptoms are extensive but are all classic lymes. look up the horowitz lymes questionaire its good to print off and check your score. good luck at ENT but be aware it would be supprising if they have any knoledge of lymes
