Lofepramine versus Duloxetine

Has anyone stopped taking Duloxetine and started on Lofrepramine please? Did you have any withdrawal symptons from Duloxetine or side effects from Lofepramine?

    I had bad withdrawal from venlafaxine, a chemical near-relation of duloxetine.

    Duloxetine is known for its withdrawal symptoms.There are several lawsuits over this at the moment.

      My GP suggested I stop taking Duloxetine and to change from one Lofepramine to two a day.

      I felt really awful...depressed, short tempered, nauseous, and after 3 weeks of this and pounding headaches I'd lost half a stone in weight and was constantly in tears.

      I couldn't make out whether it was withdrawal from Duloxetine or side effects of Lofepramine. I returned to my doctor and he stopped the Lofepramine and prescribede two Duloxetine a day!

    Good thing your doc didn't say you had a new disorder and put you on Abilify! Did he attribute it to stopping Duloxetine?

      No....he said the Lofepramine didn't suit me.

      I feel better than I did but after 2 weeks back on Duloxetine I have put 6lbs back on even though I haven't changed my eating habits and I'm always hungry.

      By the way I just looked up Abilify.......quite sure I don't need that thank goodness smile
