Lymecycline for Impetigo?

Hi eveyone, I'm 42 and have had impetigo for all of my adult life. As I am currently going through a severe attack of it, my GP has just prescribed Lymecycline capsules (one months worth)...however, reading the leaflet and looking up information about this drug, doesn't even mention that it might help impetigo - can anyone advise if they think this will actually help me or not?

    Did the medication work and have you been able to get the impetigo under control?

    did the lymecycline work for you??? 

    Im currently on my second week now taking lymecycline for perioral dermititus my rash seems to be spreading around my face with more spots appearing. I have a 4 week course of lymecycline hope I see a improvement  soon. Can anyone give me advise on these tablets please .
